Precision stamping press processing can be divided into two major categories: separation process and forming process. In order to meet the requirements of stamping parts shape, size, precision, batch, raw material performance, etc., a variety of stamping processing methods are used in aluminum sheet processing. They combine to produce precision stamped parts.

The stamping process and the die, the stamping equipment and the stamping material constitute the three elements of the stamping process, and the die used for the stamping is called a stamping die. The die is a special tool for batch processing materials into the required punches. Dies are very important in stamping. There are no dies that meet the requirements. Batch stamping production is difficult to carry out; without advanced dies, advanced stamping processes cannot be realized. The common processes for stamping dies are as follows:
Single-step mold: a mold that can only complete one stamping process during one stroke of stamping;
Progressive die: a mold that simultaneously performs two or more stamping processes at different stations in one stroke of stamping;
Composite mold: In the first stroke of stamping, two or more stamping processes are completed at the same station.
The stamping aluminum sheet processing has high production efficiency, convenient operation, easy mechanization and automation, and stamping can process precision stamping parts with large size range and complicated shape, which is widely used in industrial production. In addition, there are some problems and shortcomings in precision stamping, mainly in the two kinds of pollution caused by noise and vibration generated during stamping, and the operator's safety accidents sometimes occur. However, these problems are not entirely due to the stamping process and the mold itself, but mainly due to the traditional stamping equipment and backward manual operations.
