Aging treatment is an important means to improve the mechanical properties and physical and chemical properties of aluminum alloys. There are two ways of aging, one is natural aging, that is, after quenching at room temperature for several hours after quenching, the vacancy under rapid quenching leads to the rapid formation of the solute atom enrichment area and the rapid increase in strength, and the maximum stability after 4~5 days. The hard aluminum in the aluminum alloy is usually aged by natural aging. The S (Al2CuMg) formed by natural aging of Cu and Mg in hard aluminum is equal to that of forged aluminum formed with silicon, copper and magnesium, and Mg2Si phase and W phase are faster. The time of natural aging is generally not less than 4 days and nights. The two is artificial aging, that is, after quenching, it is reheated to a certain temperature above room temperature. Generally, forging aluminum alloy is artificially aged. The aging temperature is generally between 150-180 and 6 12h. For the superhard aluminum alloy such as 7A04, the artificial aging is usually used at 120-160 C, and the aging time is 12 ~ 24h. In order to shorten the time of aging, the artificial aging is often used for this kind of alloy.
